Reading the other reviews, it appears I got lucky, but I didn't experience any warping or movement of the rubber feet. There are a few textural swirls where the epoxy was pouring a little too quickly but it's barely noticeable. I'm very pleased! Totally worth the wait!
I was expecting the wrist wrest to arrive on December 16th, despite it arriving on the 27th on January it was well worth the wait. The true appearance of the wrist wrest is well above my expectations for a 50 dollar wrist wrest, it not only feels and looks like my wrists are sitting on the ocean. It is so smooth and perfect and truly exceeds my expectations greatly.
I initially unwrapped the box thinking it was my CandyBar Premium, but to my surprise, I received something that brought me even more joy! This thing is absolutely GORGEOUS, smooth to the touch, oh yeah, and it does that wrist rest thing pretty well too. My only regret is that I only got one
EDIT: Not sure if was at the time (I didn't notice) but this definitely is warped like most/all others so I updated my review to reflect this. Doesn't personally bother me as much because it doesn't rock.
My only complaint with mine is the white foam doesnt look quite as organic as the glam shots but its still really cool. It lays flat and is comfortable to rest my hands on while typing. Sand is a little darker than anticipated. Few bubbles here and there but it's supposed to look like water so its chill. Overall pleased with the end result. 🌊
The pattern and sand design is very nice, using the wrist rest is very comfortable. However the finishing of this product could be better. Poor QC and a rushed job sadly.
Major issues
1) The surface although smooth is not flat, its actually bumpy from where a machine sander was used
2) The top right edge falls off just before the corner this is quite visable and annoying to look at as it looks like a dent.
3) There chips on one of the bottom edges
Minor issues
3) There are a few small bubbles present in the resin although this is a trivial /minor issue
4) Cloth case doesn't fit as I ordered the TKL version as its for a 65-65% wrist rest? Come on guys !
I was excited for this and when I pulled it out of the sleeve, I was amazed by the quality. That feeling quickly died as I saw it down on my desk and realized how warped it was. I would gladly wait for a replacement but that isn't an option according to Drop. Returning for a refund so it isn't a complete loss. But man, better QC would have made me a returning customer for HLYM products.
It is undeniably a beautiful addition to my setup, but unfortunately there are some flaws. First, I recently found mine to be warped in the middle. In some spots there are some barely noticeable marks and uneven cuts from the machinery, but these were things I had to look for. The issue that disappointed me the most was the color of the sand. In the pictures it displays a softer, light colored sand opposed to the harsh, dark sand in the actual item. Great product, but not excellent. Should this ever come back on to the market I would expect much better quality control.
ExaltedBeefieCurrently working with the vendor to issue replacements for those who received warped ones. Please be patient and we'll get it sorted out!
It looks spectacular. There are some small blemishes around the sides and the feet they have glued on here isn't very good. I've used what's called on Amazon as, DIY Mouse Anti-Slip Elastics Refined Side Grips Sweat Resistant Tape Pads on another wrist rest before and I'll probably use it on this too... The wrist rest sits a little higher than the top edge of my Glorious 60% keyboard anyway. If this drops again, I definitely recommend it. It is just so good looking and matches my Ducky Joker Keycaps really well.
This item was delivered to me somewhere in Jan 2020 and everything was fine, a look, the build, flatness :) as this was very much linked to the delivery of a SHIFT keyboard the wrist rest was laying on a shelf waiting its time...
What was my surprise when I have "unpacked" it in August (7 months later) -> it was curved, a lot curved like +30 degrees from normal.
After putting some pressure on it became more flatty but not to a perfect degree :(
yes indeed in my room sometimes could be +30 degree but in any way it could not be that a wrist rest loses its main functional purses and becomes, I don't know how to say properly but just useless.
I would not recommend it even to my bitter enemy despite it looks really nice.
