I got this drop not too long ago. Main reasons for purchase was me being a SNES fanatic plus this doesn't clash with MY setup. I never thought of taking this "mech" board seriously. All I gotta say is... not bad. They don't call it the Hyper Clack for no reason.
Pros
- It has a consistent click/clack sound and tactile feel to it(some may find it loud). - The Gaote switches are similar to Cherry blues(in a decent generic sort of way). - The Accent light has 3 modes(constant, glow and off). - Back of the board sports 4 legs(2 legs on the left and right)allows for additional height adjustment/reinforcement. - Cable canal in the back allows the usb cable to be routed from the center, left or right of the board. - Win Lock key prevents accidental game interruptions. - Heavier than I expected(makes it FEEL not so cheap) - Box art in SNES style.
Cons
- Even with the drop it's still a little pricey. - Color scheme WILL clash with MOST setups(you already knew that) - Must register @hyperkin.com within 2 weeks of purchase to obtain 1 year warranty!(many reasons why I dread this)
