Well just got mine today, I ordered 2. One has issues and one works perfect. I'm actually going to return the broken one I think. If you disassemble the keyboard that voids the warranty. Read the manual. I emailed them I don't think they will respond until tomorrow sometime. I'm pretty peeved because it was a gift for me and my gf to have matching keyboards. Reading the manual I'm not going to void the warranty quite yet ill see what mass drop does about it.
Makes me question whether the other one might do the same over time if it starts touching the plate after some use.

cyber_puttyUPDATE: According to mass drop IKBC is going start including Mylar insulation in future revisions. They offered to have me return the unit with like a 2 month turn around for a replacement. else return it. I'm just going to take them both apart and modify them both with mylar because they are just going to do what everyone is doing here anyways. The case is really nice and at this price point i think what it comes down to is quality pcb and quality case. bad usb and bad insulation. The former is worth the deal. I wonder if you can get a better compatible usb port.

cyber_puttyThat means that the keyboards in the next drop will have Mylar insulation "installed" by the IKBC? Do you have any info about when is MF-87 going to be ACTIVE again?

Milos032They will probably start selling these on Amazon after March sometime according to another person who emailed ikbc about them selling the mf series. They will probably drop again tho seeing as how the full size is already being dropped again.

cyber_puttyYeah, I've read that too. MF-87 probably gonna get dropped soon as well . But I'd rather buy on Amazon, shipping to Serbia over Massdrop costs me 32$.

cyber_puttyI wonder about the USB port as well. It looks like a standard 5? pin molex connector on one side and female USB micro on the other with a housing that accepts screws to fasten to the board. I would love to find a sturdy alternate solution to mod into this board. Searching on amazon or alibaba hasn't revealed anything. Have any of you looked into this?
In my case, it appears that the female USB housing was over tightened causing the plastic to split. There is also a problem with the male-end of the USB connector to not insert fully but I think that's a function of the receiving connector used and not how it's installed.
