Hey everyone, thought I would throw my 2 cents in since I have had these since the begining of January (and it was my post talked about above haha). These things are truely wonderful, it gives you the power to alter the sound signature 10 different ways to truely give you a signature you will be happy with. For those who care and reference, I also own the 64 audio U12t's and Fiio FH5's for IEM's and have had heavy ear time with the Solaris, DM6, Fender 9, Sony....... Idk extra bass one. If you have questions ask me :) I've given the feedback that I wasn't a fan of the cable that it comes with because of the feel (rubbery) but it doesn't tangle and sonically is fine.

Lowra1nwHow do they compare to the DM6?

OManWay more deep bass if you put the copper filters on these and vent the ports you can really get some heavy base. If you like the signature of the DM6 pink or black filter would probably be the way to go. These are warmer still tho.

Lowra1nwThanks for the reply. I am waiting for the delivery of the DM6 at the moment. Do you change the filters often? Are they really quick to swap? I have the Shure 846, but only play with the different filters at the beginning. Some filters sound better with different type of music \ songs, but I guess you become lazy.

OManThey screw in and out... it is super easy, I put in the orange filters and haven't changed them out since.

Lowra1nwIf one does not factor any of the price points, how would you rate [most to least favorite] your preference for all the sets that you've experienced so far [at least, among the ones you listed here]?

JD_djU12ts are great but I have to take price into consideration. I can't recommend them for some one who doesn't have a opportunity to demo them 2k is too steep. The zeneths are more of a catch all since it gives you so many ways to modify the sound signature. Fh5s are good for the gym. Solaris sound really good but fit is very awkward. Dm6 I can't give much of an opinion on they have some serious quality control issues and I was not a fan of the signature my pair had... Were really peaky

Lowra1nwHow is the bass on these? Are they fast enough for metal? Also, what do you think are the best and worst genres for this iem?

EtherealSoundDepends what filter your using, when I listen to rock I usually have the orange or pink in. If you want massive bass the copper filters will make you have a woofer in your brain.

EtherealSoundThey beryllium diaphragms on those provide fantastic bass performance. The bass has good speed with the right amount of decay. I think it works well with metal. I won't recommend those for classical musics or vocal focused tracks though, especially female vocals.
