Support for Alternative Layouts
This is a summary of how alternative layouts have been supported by kits such as Colevrak and Homing. As a web developer, it is my opinion that your system is woefully inadequate. It should not be possible for a drop to be a week past due without someone taking notice and putting out an update.
Edit: Just saw there was a (still late) update in the comments below. That's not how you do updates... Massdrop, you know better. You always used to update everyone by email on every drop they were in consistently, even if everything was on track. It's like you are a whole different company these days.
As that last update on this drop suggested, the team working on ErgoDox are will provide another update soon. But I will personally be discussing the communication point across teams. If you have any additional feedback around our communication, I'd love to hear it via brad.ross@massdrop.com. Thanks for being a part of the Massdrop community and helping us to make it better - posts like this are seriously helpful, and, in my mind, part of what makes Massdrop possible.
