We are back with good news, fulfillment has begun and orders are being shipped out as we speak!
The necessary testing was completed by Alex and we are taking extra precautions to ensure that your Infinity Kit arrives safe and sound. Currently around ~70 group members have been emailed tracking.
From past drops, the community feedback we received was that the packaging was insufficient and some orders were damaged in transit. To address this, all of the fragile components have been appropriately bubblewrapped and the full order is packed inside a nice and snug bubblewrap enclosure.
Our warehouse team understands the urgency of this drop and has been working hard all week to have the first batch of orders shipped out by today. However, as you can see from the pictures below, this drop is a massive undertaking with a lot of complexity and variation. Though orders have shipped today and will continue to ship for a bit longer, we are running out of time to ship the remaining orders from the first batch. We talked to our team and have gotten team members to come in on Sunday to pack and ship more orders!
Additionally, we would like to thank the Mech Keys Community for all your continued support. We know that this drop took much longer than expected, but hopefully, it will all be worth it when you get your hands on this awesome keyboard. As a token of our appreciation for your continued support, we will be throwing in a complimentary Switch Tester PCBA, which will be shipping in the same package as your Ergodox!
Expect an update from us by the end of the day Pacific Time on 10/12 or sooner if something comes up.

ArthurM@ArthurM Appreciate the update. Don't want to seem ungrateful, but do you have any news on the ETA for the other half of your customers waiting on the second batch of PCBs?

ArthurMUmmm... Is MD only shipping one USB cable? I ask because in two of those pictures you posted, it only shows one cable... (one pic with everything laid out on the floor, and the other pic with everything packed in the box with the extra bubble wrap)
It should be coming with two USB cables, one to connect each half and a second to connect to the computer...
I know I have a spare cable lying around I can scrounge up, but, I want my two USB3 cables... Please...

ArthurM@ArthurM , @AlexPeterkin Last post said that we should expect an update today. Do we have any news on the second half of the PCBs or an estimated ship date for the other half of the customers?

ArthurMI must say I am slightly disappointed in gift seeing I was hoping for something utilitarian and not a novelty. However I never expected a gift and I did presume delays, so it can't go without saying that I am satisfied.
Since I am in the second batch and expecting even longer shipping time than most (cross Atlantic), could you please post the specifications of the complementary PCB? So I can think about use cases while trying to get time to pass.

ZigguratAccording to Alex Peterkin, earlier in the mesages for this drop: "Currently it's looking like there's the biggest interest in the Numpad PCB. As @theimmc stated, this would most likely be the PCB from the NPKC drop and will include the controller and SMD parts presoldered. It would only require a case, some switches and keycaps to make complete..." the NPKC drop is here: https://www.massdrop.com/buy/npkc-switch-tester

jwatkinsI have bad news about the NPKC numpad with PCB. So far nobody who received it is satisfied with it. At least, no one said they're happy with it. There are 3 issues : it only registers 1 key at a time, it has trouble registering fast keypresses (reportedly more than 1 key per second) and the orientation of the + and ENTER key means that costar stabilizers cannot be installed.
Go check out the NPKC key switch tester drop's discussion for more details if you're interested

theimmc@jwatkins Thats good news in the sense of having a utility in the gift.
@theimmc That does not seam so nice, I'll read up on peoples thoughts and if they have implemented any workarounds.

ArthurMI appreciate something extra for all the delays, but what can we do with the extra PCB? I'm not familiar with it. Can we turn it unto a 10-key? Is there somewhere we can get an "all parts minus the PCB" kit for it? Case, switches, Granite caps, anything else we need?

ZUUL42I'd be fine with just the aluminum plate for it; I have access to a laser cutter and can make the case.

r4v5You can get the plate that goes with this PCB on eBay. Search for "NPKC". It is the same plate that Massdrop sells, but without the logo. But before you start, I highly recommend checking the NPKC switch tester discussions where many people are not happy with the PCB.
