if anyone is looking to sell the ergodox infinity with type-c to type-c. please lmk! i'd like to use it to make some type-c 3.1 cables. I have all the supplies ready. I just need something to test it with :)

IaeenHmm... I thought that the update would be Type-C to Type-C so it'd be a "universal" cable. Looks like there aren't enough details here.
But either way, I'd love to get my hands on one if someone is looking to part with it.
jchan94The previous revision was micro-b to type-a. They did this so that you couldn't confuse the "output to master device" port (micro-b) with the "input from slave device" port (type-a). I'm pretty sure that they just replaced the micro-b ports with type-c for the new revision.
This was discussed a while back (probably about 20 pages ago), and I'm pretty sure it was concluded that the type-a ports remain.
IaeenThis makes sense, as most us don't have the privilige of owning a type C port on our PC yet. My concern here is more toward if the protocol gonna be USB2.0 or USB3.0.
XephonThe connection between the keyboard and computer is USB 2.0. I'm not sure what making it 3.0 would get you. It's already NKRO and it's not like there's any lag, so 3.0 would be overkill.
The interconnect between the keyboard halves isn't USB protocol at all.
