Ingersoll’s take on the pilot watch is known as the Hatton. Refined, legible, and strong, it has the qualities you’d seek in a good aviator-style timepiece—at a great value Read More
im not sure about the WR on this one but I can’t help but to notice the RF on the case back i think drop should gift one of these to a guy with a manly wrist and a big supporter like our buddy @RayF
Recieved my Hatton today. Like the other Ingersolls in my collection, very nice for the price. Overall nice build and good looks. Lume hands and markers with the sandwich dial. The strap is Horween leather, but much stiffer than the last Ingersoll I recieved.
I have an 8" wrist so the 47mm looks fine, not to big for me. I can wear a 50mm.
I changed the strap to one that I had that fits. By the way, it has 24mm lugs not 23mm. Thank God! Also caseback matches the dial saying 10atm.
Drop needs to get better at making sure the pics and specs match each other.. I'm sure they lost sales with it saying 5atm on the back and 10atm on th he front, and not many people like 23mm lugs, lost more sales I'm sure. I had a feeling it was wrong since my other Ingersolls have 24 or 22mm. One complaint that I have is that the front crystal is foggy on the inside! First one I've gotten new that way.
Since I repair and modify watches it's not a problem for me to clean, still poor quality control and a pain in the arse!
For the regular person to have to send back to England, that's a real problem. Long shipping over, but he time for them th o fix the problem, then the long wait to get back. I'd be pissed.
That's about it, and it did arrive earlier than expected this time.
(If anyone gets one with a dirty crystal, let me know, just pay for shipping and I will help u out!)
I will take pics later...thanks for reading!
bigerdsterThank you for the picture! The face is absolutely unreadable. The hands disappear in the forest of other white sticks.
Not that I was going to buy a 47 mm watch, but still...
Was pretty interested in this one until i got to the specs, 47mm :( i can wear and do own a couple 47mm pilots but it's far from my favourite size. Anywhere between 40mm and 45mm and i'd have grabbed this one, have to think a bit more on this.
Second hand fell off about 40 minutes after I put it on, Drop refuses to repair or replace. I got offered $20 of Drop credit or $15 if I want to keep this broken thing.
Granted, first I got the auto-response of "Drop will repair or replace, at its option, the movement of Drop Studio timepieces free of charge within 12 months from the date of purchase, if such movement proves to be defective in material or workmanship under normal use." which is, as it turns out, a lie.
Specs say 100m WR, but caseback says 5atm. I appreciate so much about Drop, but it is so hard to keep confidence in a business that is so sloppy. It’s not like they are dropping 10,000 products a week. Are they even dropping 100? I just can’t help wondering what else is incorrect that we the consumers can’t obviously see in the pictures.
ZoeesteatmisFactory Seconds? Pass em off to Drop. I was looking at that disparity before I saw the 47mm case size. Doesn’t work for me. 45mm size is my maximum. Could get one for my son he has huge wrists.
