This shoe looks incredible but it last reminds me of my AE Randolph penny loafers which cuts really high into my heels and ankles (partly because I have low and wide ankles). I have no issues with my other AE oxford shoes in size 6E though... does this shoe's last resemble more of AE's penny loafers last which is pretty much torture for me to wear?
FrostyKfrom what I recall of the AE penny loafers they were really deep and used to hit my ankle too, but our loafers do not hit my ankle. But to be completely honest, I cannot say for you what it will be like. If you are going for the suede option, you shouldn't have a problem. The leather is harder to say as it is more rigid. If you give me your size, I can measure the height on the insole to top line

TheShoeSnobI am US 6E on AE oxford shoes, my foot length is 245mm and about 103mm wide. Thanks!
FrostyKyes but what size are you in the penny loafers you were referring to? US6E as well?

TheShoeSnobNope it was slightly oversized at US 6.5E.
FrostyKwell we do not have a UK5.5 sized shoes in our RTW collection but our UK6E is 4.8cm deep at the outside ankle (or 1 and 7/8 inches). I am inclined to say that you will need our UK5F which should equate to the UK6E but this is hard to say for sure

TheShoeSnobHey, looks like the ankle height of your loafers is about the same as my AE penny loafers, would love to give your shoes a try but since purchases on Massdrop are final I will have to give it a pass.
FrostyKno worries, I understand
