I used this machine for 5 classes at a major quilt show. It's a great little machine. It enticed me to purchase the Janome 9400 at that same show. The 9400 is a FANTASTIC machine! That's not to say that this machine isn't a good machine.
As someone said, if you buy online, make sure you take the seller's past history into account. How does he pack machines to ship? What shape do they end up in, when shipped? How is he going to take care of work under warranty?

BradFromAccountingAny machine can chain stitch. Just keep adding the next pieces to stitch together without cutting the thread. Just space a stitch.

I am an avid quilter and make lot's of quilts. I have had this machine for a couple of years and absolutely love it. I use it nearly every day. :-)

What happened to the price??? It was $990 and now it's $1149? It's cheaper on Amazon now.

doridreamerThe dealer that is selling it has bad review. You need to take that into consideration as to how your machine will arrive. Also, I have that rolling case, if I were to choose between that case or a box of aurifil thread. I go with the thread. You can purchase a better quality case. The thread is worth more. I have a Janome 6600p & love it. I have another smaller one for classes. It’s in that rolling case. I need to replace the case. Aurifil thread I use daily. Happy Quilting 💗

Quick update for the group. We are in contact with the vendor and awaiting updated shipment estimates from them. We have a call scheduled first thing tomorrow morning and should get a bit more visibility in regards to when we can expect these to ship out from them directly to you.
We will update the group as soon as we receive confirmation that these have been packed and shipped. Currently we expect that these will ship inline with the expected ship date listed in the drop description page.

Thanks again for joining the drop with the community. We submitted the group’s order with the vendor for the Janome 1600P-QC shortly after the drop ended and they have begun preparing it for shipment.
Once the group’s order is ready at the vendor’s location, they will ship the packages individually to you as soon as possible.

I used this machine while attending a class at Quiltcon. I loved it and regretted not buying one of the machines used in the class at a special discount. The stitch quality is awesome, and it's incredibly fast. Can't wait to receive.
