Just to add my two cents to this. I am on my third pair of these as I have had to claim warranty under their lifetime sweat proof claim. On my third unit I demanded they apply a coating of the liquepel treatment. If this pair fails, I am done with Jaybird. The other bluetooth earbuds I saw on Massdrop seem to have liquepel applied by default + they feature Apt-X + they are cheaper. Something to consider.

mversionLook into the Sony SBH80, I have a pair myself after reading recommendations I found here http://www.head-fi.org/t/752491/sony-sbh80-wireless-to-the-next-level-review "It easily survives 20min hot showers."

YakovThat was definitely not the case up until recently because prior to my last replacement, previous units came with a booklet trying to upsell Liquipel to add an extra level of protection. I noticed the last unit came with a similar marketing note saying that although it features a Liquipel coating they don't recommend immersing... bla bla bla.
I was simply under the impression that my replacement unit featured this, I was at no point told by Jaybird customer service that they are now all coming with Liquipel coating applied. Bastards made me think I was getting a special service!
