Support for Alternative Layouts
This is a summary of how alternative layouts have been supported by kits such as Colevrak and Homing. It is not a discussion of alt layout performance and development, but if that interests you I highly recommend starting with Pascal Getreuer’s A guide to alt keyboard layouts (why, how, which one?). It’s a concise and comprehensive overview with links to some great sites that go deeper. He also has a separate Links about keyboards page. The Keyboard layouts doc he recommends explains layout goals and metrics in detail, summarizing the alt layouts discussed here as well as more than one hundred others. Bringing back balance: It is a nice space bar. I think. It is black, it is plastic, it is shiny, it is press-able. I found the references to space a little humorous. Thank you. I kind of like the space bar and I want to want one.
This may help: You may be selling beauty instead of function? I can respect that. If this is art then please spend more effort on describing your motivation, your process, and the tiny details that make this space bar a work of love, beauty, or sacrifice, so your labor can be appreciated.
That pretty much sums up why it's being sold, not that I agree with the price, but people will buy what people will buy.
