I have just received mine, in SS. It is the most incredible sensation to watch this top spin completely still, for minutes at a time. The stem has an excellent grip that allows me to spin it very easily.
I want the copper now!
I received my number 7.
its a very nice no frills top. Very smooth spinning.
I have not timed it yet but it's very smooth. Absolutely still spinning. I love when tops do that. I bought the stainless steel. I always seem to have a tough time deciding between durability ( ss) or looks (cu)
the other copper tops I have have gotten a bit beat up. My stainless tops still look new. So far on my second spin. The top is well over 5 minutes...
to a second spin of 8.5 minutes.
Im sure it has more in it than that.
Joshua, I'd love to see you (top makers collectively) make a 1" top spin for 20 minutes.
Thank ink for making an affordable nice top.

YaesumofoTry as I mite!! I can not exceede my 8.5 minute spin.
id love to get 10 minutes from it but no it's not a 10 minute top it's an 8.5 (perfect spin) minute top. I have some small 1" tungsten tops which spin well beyond 10 minutes. one weighs 21 grams and spins for 13 minutes it's a high rpm top like d7 I also have a 27 gram top heavier but also spins for 10-12 minutes... so I know it's possible. This top is cool with the 8 drilled out areas on the bottom of the top. This removal of material raises the COG this will lower spin times in a small top like this. Again I'm looking forward to 20 gram 1 inch tops spinning for 20 minutes!!
I got one of these from Josh at TopCon earlier this month in ATL. It's a great top and heck of a value. I think it's a great size at just under an inch, and the machined grip treatment is grippy without being overly aggressive. High recommend.
Massdrop product managers, can we find out if this will be shipped via DHL (not good) or Asendia (good)? If the former, I'll pass (DHL gouged me with fees last time; not taxes, COD fees), and if the latter, I'm in for a copper and maybe a stainless steel!
Edit: For those who want to know, I've been told it'll be Asendia 👍
