In case anyone was wondering, alexblackie wasn't exaggerating. The lights on this are really really bright, and move constantly when it's charging. Do not buy this to go in a room where light pollution will bother you unless you too plan to coat it in electrical tape. I currently have mine at my office, routed into a drawer so I don't have to look at it. I couldn't stand it when it was on my desk, the lights were distracting.
Edit: the actual charging works great though, from multiple positions, and hasn't had any issues even running off a laptop usb port.
