The preview image reminds me of the Pixar lamp lol
I have pretty much the same question as Chainalink has, which is will this handle a wide screen display? personally I care a great deal if it would manage to hold my predator-x34.
Anthony_Shea
As long as the VESA pattern is 100x100 or 75x75 and it weighs less than 18.7 lbs you'll be all good.
Will his mount allow a wide screen monitor to be rotated ( or mounted ) vertically?
Chainalink
29" ultrawide can rotate on the fly, 34" ultrawide will hit your desk if mounted vertically. The stands max height is 15-1/4" from desk to middle of mounting plate.
I know it says it works for monitors up to 27" but wouldnt it still work for a 34" with 100x100 vesa that is under the max weight?
jgrody
Yes, weight and VESA compatibility are the only real limiting factors. A 34" (I'm assuming ultra wide) monitor may have issues with rotation, if the arm cannot attain sufficient height. Other than that, you should have no problem using this mount.

Is it possible to remove the the gas spring part of the arm and flip it so it works mounted upside down?
Alright! Dat $77 shipping to Dubai is sick.
Hey, only $75.50 shipping to Israel! Atleast it's not fucking $80 like the freedom arm.
How deep is the bite of the clamp? My desk has a beveled edge and it would have to be at least 3+ inches to get a stable hold.

Perfect! Thank you!
I received my DMG1000 this morning and set it up this afternoon, and I have to ask: is it normal for the tilting bolt to be so damned tight? I can't get it to move and I'm afraid of breaking my monitor. I've already destroyed the little wrench that came in the kit. I might try taking my monitor off the stand to apply more force to the bolt, but this doesn't seem like it should be normal, since the instructions show to mount your monitor, then adjust the bolt.

I did end up getting it to move, but I had to apply WD40 and use a hammer on the end of my wrench to do it. I also put some WD40 on the hex for the gas spring to loosen that and stop the horrible squeaking noise it made when I was adjusting it (after it also destroyed the included hex key and I had to get my hardened steel ones out).

Long story short, I strongly advise that you pass along to whomever you see best that a little lubricant goes a long way. It honestly kind of blows my mind that something so simple is being completely overlooked during manufacturing.

Sorry about that, sounds like your tilt nut was fastened too tightly at the factory. I've passed along your message to our design team, we might be able to do something about the tension adjustment to make it more smooth. Keep in touch and let me know if you have any more feedback, we're always open to hearing suggestions.
