Would be nice if when the drop started it would say how many of each kind are available. Went to change my choice, and it's greyed out...

I recieved my BOLT today and so far I love it! Mine did not come with the hex key either though.

Karas Kustoms used to ship this tool with every order, but found that it created more problems and repair issues than it solved, so they stopped including it. We didn't know that when we ran the drop, and I apologize for the misinformation in the listing.
To compensate for this, all members who joined the drop will be refunded $2.00 by the end of this week. The hex key size is 5/64 in (= 0.198 mm, so a 2mm would *probably* work also), and should be available from almost any hardware store for $1.50 or less.
We apologize for the inconvenience and hope this will be a satisfactory resolution.

I must say, I am rather disappointed in the Bolt. I've been lusting after this thing for a long time and finally was able to buy one through Massdrop. Unfortunately, the bolt action is extremely sticky. It takes a ton of effort to move the bolt into and out of the locked position. I often end up unscrewing the button part because it is so hard to twist the mechanism. It's no fun to use - just extremely frustrating. I love the Retrakt, but I really don't like the Bolt. Bummer.

I've had the aluminium one for almost three years and I've experienced no such sticking.
In fact, the one-handed flick used to be my only exercise for days.
They do get marks on the body quite easily. Might be appealing to some but personally I wish they hardened the casing a bit more.

Note, the pens are untreated and as such, brass and copper pens rub off on hands and have a smell. I have an aluminium version, which doesn't not exhibit this feature.

Just ordered BOLT G2. Want to try Japanese refill this time. Does anyone know that Pilot LP2RF Gel Ink Pen Refill - 0.5 mm - Black can fit BOLT G2? Thanks.

javatsengIf that's the pilot juice refill then it should. I use it for my retrakt which is a G2 pen.

A piece of advice for the buyers, if you intend to write alot of stuff with it, do not go for copper or brass because it will be too heavy!
