>I’m happy you had a better experience, but ...
Given that I only responded to help explain what should have been happening, I'm not sure I deserved to be the target of your snarky tone.
3/4/19 Great Vendor - time to ship and the product is backordered? Wonderful time to tell Massdrop and us.
You would think there would be a contract in place for a certain # of inventory items PRIOR to the drop starting.
At any rate NOT A VERY RELIABLE VENDOR.
Last time I ordered a Kaweco from Massdrop, the description said it included a converter, but the converter was never shipped. Does this drop REALLY include the converter? It is not in any of the pictures. Is the "specs" description accurate?
Yeah, I have bought Kaweco pens from other vendors in Europe, including the Dia 2, and never a converter in sight.
Not to mention that unless you really like this pen for the feel of it, you have the same gamble on the nib as you do with all the rest of the Kaweco's since it is the same nib-unit as used with the Sports/AL-sport/Student etc. I changed mine with one I had luck with from a rather cheap Sport Classic that had a very nice nib since my Dia 2 didn't.
This is as sensible as a fountain pen get. Pure function over form and yet it looks great.
Takes Kaweco sport nibs, too. Swap to your heart's content.
The Dia2 is probably my favorite Kaweco, my only quibble is with the size, then again it posts quite well.
And here's the quasi-obligatory sbrebrown review:

Sigh. I just ordered a TWSBI Precision and a Namisu Ixion, so I’m going to say no to this drop, this time. But this is a pen I’ve been eyeing for a long time, so I’m sure I’ll get it sooner or later.
