Product Description
At less than 4 inches, the Liliput is the smallest fountain pen in the Kaweco lineup. But the pen extends to a comfortable 4.9 inches when the screw-on cap is posted at the end of the threaded barrel Read More
I was talking about the small international twist converter form Kaweco, not the squeeze one... but I guess it is the same as Monteverde mini, so probably won't fit either.
tylerbrainerdYes, it is a Sport clip.. good catch. I assume there is a Liliput clip for the drop. Pondering this drop in copper. The Sport is my EDC pocket pet..this would be a sweet EDC in the pocket... Only, I have a bad habit of giving my pen(s) to admirers, in the hope they will become fountain pen lovers too !
These are darn nice pens, I've had one of the Stainless ones since they were first released. Buddy of mine got one of the flame-customized ones, but I couldn't cough up that kind of cash and went with the plain stainless. I've been nothing but impressed, it's a very decent writer, nicely balanced in the hand, and rugged as can be! It's been floating daily in my pocket with my keys and who-knows-what-else, and it's gathered just a very light set of random-direction surface scratches that look like a stonewash finish. Hasn't ever leaked a drop, tried to come open in my pocket, or anything else.
same price/cheaper on jetpens. I wonder if the staff at Massdrop feel as useless as the website itself is? I have yet to see a deal on here in ages, it's only really a good site for a few exclusive products. Can I just request my account be deleted?
gnomedActually, Massdrop is cheaper than jetpens on all the models except the stainless steel one. The aluminum version is $3 cheaper, brass is $9 cheaper, and copper is $22 cheaper. The stainless steel is $6 more.
Not much of a savings for the less expensive aluminum models, but a very nice discount on the copper version and a decent one on the brass.
If you're going to troll, at least have your facts straight.
WrightThe difference between Massdrop and Jetpens is that you'll get your pen within a week of ordering it on Jetpens. With Massdrop, you'll get it weeks or even months later. Oh, and at Jetpens, the shipping is FREE after $50. So you're only saving a few bucks with Massdrop, while getting more than a few bucks of aggravation from them in trying to get your item in a timely manner. The savings have to be really good to make Massdrop worth the aggravation.
iRedYukiMSRP shown is for the aluminium version, which is priced at $45 for this drop. Base price shown is for the Brass version, which is MSRP $80, I think.
pastubbsHey @pastubbs -- Actually, I just spoke with our vendor and we've been able to add both Copper and Stainless Steel options to this drop, with a full range of nib sizes.
Im not sure where people are getting their numbers... while its not a HUGE steal its still better priced than other websites...
A quick look at jet pens will show that even the cheapest Broad Nib Liliput (black body) is 58 dollars.... so at roughtly 50 bucks it is cheaper by 8 dollars.

For the copper version, the final difference for me on mass drop (including shipping/tax) compared to jetpens.com is $30.38. Given that I have functional fountain pens that are serving me fine in the meantime, I'm happy to wait to save that amount of money for a luxury item.
The main reason for the wait time is most of the product is coming from distributors outside of the US. Any pen products that have come from distributors outside the US will not be covered under the warranty of the US distributors. Most other pen retailers out there are qualified US retailers and their product will be covered by US warranties this is the main difference.
That sux.
Having said that.... don't give up.
I have been very happy with much of my Massdrop experience.
Even if you never buy anything here, the site is CHOCK-FULL of ideas and items that you might never have seen before, and which you can search out elsewhere for, perhaps, a better price or for a variant that's not available here.
For instance;
they are selling a set of bracelets here. If you go to the actual makers web-site, you will find all the same bracelets, for more, BUT, if you use a 30% discount coupon they offer, the bracelets cost a bit less than the Massdrop price, with free shipping in the US.
I would not have known about them, were it not for Massdrop.
;)
do stick around, and best of luck!

diermmenYW @diermmen, thanks for starting the poll and making this possible for everyone! We've been trying to get Liliput for a long time and I'm glad we could finally make it work. We tried to get Fireblue also, maybe next time.
