First it was "only" 300, then it was 600, and now who even knows how many. So much for a "limited, special edition, single production run" keyboard.
Due to this and the frequently egregious shipping costs to Canada, Massdrop has lost my business. I can't abide by this kind of bait and switch.
EDIT: I notice that you've edited the description to remove the wording which indicated that this drop was a one-off. Just plain duplicitous.

I really like the site a lot but man these turn arounds are brutal. Going to have to reconsider next time i make an order. It might be worth the extra money to get the product the same year i made the purchase

Am I saying I enjoy waiting this long? No. But I don't think there was any other way to get a Poker II with clears and backlit.
Do what I do, buy something every few weeks and you'll always be getting something, even if it isn't the thing you most recently bought =P

Hey Guys,
We just spoke to the vendor and have some updated info for you. The vendor let us know that the non-backlit version of the keyboard is ahead of schedule and expected to be dropped off for shipment by the end of this week. We will let you guys know once that batch arrives at our warehouse. For those of you that ordered the backlit version, we were told that we would have updated fulfillment info by the end of next week.
We will stay in contact with the vendor and update the group accordingly.
Thanks for your patience and expect an update from us on 8/22 or sooner if something comes up.

I'm not gonna pretend to know your finances my friend, Just sayin I also have regrets having purchased this keyboard while I already own a mech. I didnt need to juggle finances and yet I'm kinda kickin myself for being so impulsive. I'm sayin maybe the grass is just greener on the other side, and in the case of the limited production run of this KB, the grass suddenly turned very green on the other side for the people who were too late.

I thought it was funny when the drop was in the process of selling out extremely fast and the community asked for another price drop at a certain quantity. The massdrop guys must've been like "Why on earth would we provide more incentive when the drop is selling out this fast???" haha they had absolutely no reason to offer another $5 drop point and lose out on $1500

anyone who buys something exclusively because they think other people won't be able to buy it is ridiculous. but even if you are that vain, don't worry, you can turn around and sell this thing for what you paid for it without a problem.

thestageThis is the modus operandi of the keyboard community - artificial scarcity. The reason bro bots and click clacks are ridiculous priced in the open market is because there is a severe lack of supply. Same with "limited edition" keyboards and keycap sets. As for me? MX clears are cherry switches I dislike the least so all I want is a Poker II for my awesome DSA sets. That said, if they start dropping more Poker II clears at a significantly lower price I'm going to be slightly annoyed. Oh well c'est la vie.

Even if this keyboard was supposed to be a "unicorn" of a keyboard, you'll still have 1 of around 1000 units (600 last drop, 400 this drop). I'd say it's still unique.

This disagreement boils down to apparently differing opinions on what qualifies as a unicorn in the mech world, which is funny when you think about it. Let's all calm down before someone reverts to name-calling in all caps.

The discussion section of the site isn't Massdrop support, so questions/queries here will often go unanswered. It's fine for people to share their experiences, positive and negative, as others have mentioned, there's a pretty severe sampling bias in the discussion board. Not seeing responses to support requests does not mean we're ignoring issues.
Anyone having troubles with their keyboard should email us at support@massdrop.com and we'll work with KBC's warranty group to troubleshoot/fix/replace your keyboard. Anyone who received the wrong board erroneously (back lit or not, etc), will have their boards replaced with the correct one.

Just add to @Mark's comment from earlier. We have been monitoring feedback on the Poker II Keyboards with Cherry MX Clear and we are very aware of the manufacturing defects a few of the members are having with their keyboards.
Please email support@massdrop.com If you have any problem with the keyboard, and we'll take care of it.
We have been coordinating with KBC on the schedule for the replacement keyboards. The shipment for the replacement keyboard is being prepared by KBC as we speak, and we are told it'll be ready to be shipped out to us from China before the end of next week. Assuming no delays from China/US customs, we are hopeful we can get replacement keyboards shipped out before Sept 26.

A word of warning to those who ordered this keyboard with the LED option. I just got both of my Poker II MX Clear's in ( one in black with white LED's and one in white with white LED's) and they both have issues right out of the box. As you can see in the pictures the white board's LEDs are of different vary shades of white (you can really see it in F,G,H,J keys), and on my black board 3 LEDs were installed incorrectly, making the keycaps hit them when they're pressed.
Overall I'm pretty disappointed with the quality of this drop, and wish I had never gotten the additional $10 LED option per board.

jdswhatwhatKinda curious about that, not because I dont believe you, but mainly because I've never used that method for removing keys.
I just slowly apply pressure with a butter knife on the front bottom edge, while keeping the key straight by putting my finger against the back side. And pop, they just come straight off.
Maybe my method could work against these defective caps..

Great keyboard, I love mine... But let's be real massdrop. This is the third run of I'm sure many more. Went from a one of 250 to 1000 to 1500.... Not a unicorn anymore. You guys killed the unicorn.
