"it’s not hard to see why metal straws are a no-brainer"
Speaking of which, anybody see the story about the disabled woman who fell on a metal straw and was impaled in the eye, causing fatal brain injuries?

Titanium alert!! Time to charge 4x retail again.
Previous titanium explanations were that they are lighter than other metals and better for travel. Does that apply here as well??
What is with all of the titanium this and that? These would make a fine partner to the titanium chopsticks and toothpicks. I’m sure that in a few weeks these will be offered in black and listed as “tactical”. What use are these as otherwise being used for a tactical tracheotomy?
Pauly3I first used mine to tap a certain species tree last Fall and then to corner the market in fake Maple Syrup. Latter, I used those resources to fund an under cover team contracted to the CIA, where me and the elite members of my team, use our Keith Titanium Bent Jumbo Straws to neutralize perceived threats around the globe. Pardon the bone fragments on your pancakes.
I so wanted to like these, I got annoyed with all the plastic landfill.
The problems I have with them:
1) Drinking ice smoothies would conduct the cold brilliantly... making the outside too cold and wet with condesation.
2) Chipped teeth.
3) Walking and stumbling while using these... a metal rod into the back of your throat... and thoughts of my children falling while using one?
So I rarely use them, and for other times just stick with compostable plastic straws.
Not that I need straws, it's just those smoothies and my beard... don't mix.
I've come to the conclusion the problem was never with straws, it was the people who couldn't drink anything without one. It's people who suck, not straws.
