Product Description
Titanium is hailed for its strength-to-weight ratio, which is why it’s found in many high-end products. But aside from strength, it’s also hypoallergenic, corrosion resistant, and bacteria inhibitive Read More

I wonder if this is as dreadful as the SS one from Chicago Comb. If not I might be willing to go for it, but I don't know that I'm ready to take the plunge and try it first (even if it is a lot cheaper).

I'm happy to report that my old comb (a no. 1, in SS which had sharp edges that pulled/tore hair) was replaced and the replacement is a spectacular comb that I envision me using for a long time (I can see it being handed down for generations if not lost). I am very happy with both the comb and the excellent customer service. Thank you John & Chicago Comb Co.!

Be honest, is the technique you developed just to put the finished combs in a vibratory tumbler with some abrasive media?
Don't use a metal comb. It isn't good for your hair or scalp.

I've read that it depends on how sharp the metal is and the type of metal used. I don't think Titanium is bad.

SothaChillThis comb is like taking a bunch of sharp knives and slicing through your hair with them. I was just astounded with the amount of hair this comb took off of my head when I was using it before I tried to ease the edges. This thing is unbelievably not suited for combing hair. I really wanted to like it, as the allure of being strong and light was there, but the downside of it being too sharp is a deal breaker for me. I spent hours with a Dremel tool and wet or dry sandpaper trying to ease the edges fro being so sharp, but it still is ripping hair out with every stroke. I wanted to like this comb because I just like Titanium, but it's not suitable for combing hair. There are plastics that are much better suited for combing hair, and they are so much cheaper than this comb, you could buy a dozen of them for the price of this engineering failure.

Is comb. Made of titanium. Performs ok as a comb I guess. Still not sure exactly why I bought it, but I don't think I regret it.

Pretty heavy for titanium... dollar store plastic comb is only 6g

I have been away for a while so I only got these in the last week. The comb is crap. Tines too thick and the size of the thing.... I am too late to send these back so just have to chalk it up. These are sub-standard in every way. Pretty useless as a comb anyway.

TintovicI've got the same issue. Tines are way too thick for it to be a decent comb and they're uneven.

My (straight version) comb arrived home early (wrt to the announced shipping date), while I was on holidays. Hence my late review. I wanted a metal comb mainly against static electricity in the hair. First thing: I was surprised by the weight (32g). Quite heavy for a comb (but they announced 36g, so I should have thought of it before). If I had to choose now, I'd probably take the curved one (23g instead of 36). Anyway, after some time getting used to it, weight is not really a problem. Combing my (short) hair with it provides some light massage of the skull. I have no problem of bent or uneven or sharp tines. There remains the question of tines thickness. It's more or less what I expected from the pics, but I understand that they may be too thick for some people. Finally, is it worth the $33 ( $20 + $13 shipping)? I'll tell in 33 years, if I can still use it (and if I still have enough hair/beard to use it).
