The bottle is good for camping purposes however it's a weird size and doesnt really nest in any common camp pot sizes. If neither were to make a bailed pot that would be sized for this to nest in its be perfect.

I agree with Tsanabe's review, with the addition that the reason I got it was titanium's non reactivity, and indeed, I can leave water in it for a week, and it doesn't pick up taste from the bottle. I'm very happy with it, given that what we know about BPA applies to analogous chemicals in other plastics (like BPB, which just hasn't been studied as much, but looks just as nasty). Titanium and glass for me from here out out, by and large. I also got the 1.2L one.

I purchased the Keith 1200 ml bottle and am quite pleased with it. The outside edge of the lid has vertical raised ridges that provide for a good grip on the lid. The bottle lid does not screw on with threads but instead is fastened with a downward pressure and clockwise twist which allows inward-curving tabs on the lid to slide under a horizontal ridge on the neck of the bottle. Notches, slots and stops keep the lid securely in place. I can't describe it any better. It is far different then any fastening system I have ever seen and seems unique and innovative. The lid has a very tiny hole drilled through the center. It is so small that I didn't notice it for weeks. I don't know what purpose it serves but suppose there must be some engineered reason for it, maybe to release slight pressure/vacuum build up???

The lid has a silicon disk which keeps water from escaping through the center hole and seals the bottle rim to the lid. The disk is removable and allows a thorough washing of the bottle, lid and disk.

At times the disk will slip from the lid while I attempt to fasten the lid to the bottle. It is annoying but it is simple enough to tuck the disk back into the lid. I suppose that if you were having a really bad day, this annoying feature could be enough to send you (or the bottle) over the edge ; )

The bottle has a sling sack for transport and fits just above the shoulders of the bottle. The sling strap is length-adjustable. A drawstring cinches the sack snugly to the bottle. The sack seems to have insulating properties as the fabric is slightly thick and compresses/expands when downwardpressure is applied/released. Water stays cool for two to three hours on a hot day due to the insulation provided by the sack and the shape of the bottle which is rather bulky, especially when it is in the sack. I find it easier to use two hands to drink from the bottle.

I also have the Vargo 1 liter BOT. My only complaint with it is that at times the lid is very difficult to remove. I think this may be due to changes in temperature and/or elevation which creates a vacuum sealing the lid to the bottle. The wide lid on the BOT is smooth and without any sort of surface texture for grasping, makes it difficult at times to remove the lid. For this reason I prefer the Keith bottle over the Vargo BOT. Otherwise they perform equally well. The bottle is multi-functional and can be used on backpacking trips for a cold soak and boil of dehydrated foods. The hot bottle can be placed in the sack which makes it easier to hold while eating from the bottle. My favorite use is for short side hikes where all I take with me is the bottle slung over my shoulder.
