What is happening with this, what’s the delay? Why aren’t we being updated?

Any news on the ship date? Seeing as Thanksgiving is coming up this week, I'm not optimistic that these will ship out before the holiday...

I've got the slightly smaller AM-3 and think it's a great value in a light duty / office knife. Fit & finish, deployment, and lock up are great. Obviously not the equivalent of a real Al Mar, and the handles/frame lock are a departure from the original design, but it's very well done at this price point. The desription should add a photo of the red barrel spacers - looks sharp!

idoc72I would have preferred the AM-3 indeed. Being in Canada with many people unaccustomed to knives, 3" is a better size, it's more non-knife-nut friendly.
But, isn't 8Cr13MoV a "cheaper" steel?

BobrazSince it's more of an "office" knife for me (slim, light, and deep-carry clip), I think the steel is just fine - and relatively easy to touch up as needed. I don't think the blade shape and ergonomics really lend themselves to serious heavy duty use anyways. By the way, I noticed they've released a new model with an OD green (rather than black) G-10 scale.
