I have the s30v version (had the non s30v ages ago and the tip broke) highly recommend the s30v version! Its a recurve blade so you will need a diamond sharpening stone or diamond sharpening rod. For the stone you will want to sharpen the blade on the edge of the stone. I think the spiderco sharp maker will work also but I've not tried it yet.
Price is decent for this drop, but other places will have much faster shipping for around the same price give or take.

Its no where as good as a Kershaw blur. The quality of the buck knife is terrible. So go fish. Keep looking, you won't find it.

$3 more on Amazon with 2day free shipping. Massdrop I'm out have not seen one deal on knives.

Blacplastic2-3 months ago there was a better deal on the Kershaw Blur. There was a killer deal on the Kizer Gemini about a month ago. MD also had one of their sprint runs with a knife designer about a month ago at a very good price. It all depends on what you want and price shopping.

I'm confused about the type of blade steel, the description says S30v but the specs say 14c28n... and I know models exist with each of those... also, I should mention that this was my EDC for many years before my addiction to sharp objects got out of control. Great knife! (and I don't like assisted openers)

This one isn't great. You can get the superior s30v steel Kershaw Blur for about 65-70USD.

BitvarOf course it's better, that's ~40% more money. Bdz1 is good steel at this price point. Gets really sharp and holds an edge better than 420hc, aus8 or 8cr that are common in the <$50 price range.
This is an okay deal if you dig the tiger stripe look and the price gets down to 47. Otherwise better deals on blurs can be found frequently.

moehoney, my question as well, the top description lists S30V, the bottom lists the Sandvik steel. Which is it?

Massdrop. Please get Kershaw to make a blur without a recurve and s35vn steel. Preferably without speedsafe. It will be a huge hit!
