Designed by Ernie Emerson and built by Kershaw, the CQC-5K offers striking looks and versatile cutting capability. The modified clip-point blade features protective, non-reflective black oxide coating, while the textured G-10 handle in olive drab provides a secure grip. There’s even a lanyard hole for easy carry. This manual opener can be released using either the thumb disk or Emerson’s patented wave-shaped feature. The wave-shaped tab on top of the blade is meant to catch on the pocket seam, opening the knife as it comes out of your pocket—so by the time it’s fully withdrawn, the blade is deployed and ready for use. Secured by a sturdy steel frame-lock mechanism, the CQC-5K is complete with a reversible pocket clip.
