Ken Onion developed the SpeedSafe assisted-opening mechanism, and its application on the Leek has made this folder a staple in the EDC community. The Leek’s drop-point blade shape and slim, tapered profile allow it to excel in both slicing and detail work Read More
Super thin slicey blade in cpm154 with carbon fiber for $65 bucks? Dang that's impressive. I'm tempted to pick one up but I really dislike assisted knives.
I agree. My wife owns and loves a purple leek.
I guess I'm just a g10 guy.
I'm not big on titanium, steel, aluminum or other none grippy surfaces. I don't have a problem with those that like them, I just know what works for me.
My skyline isn't a hard use knife either.
KButdorfI'll be honest, i had to go look to remind me what the Skyline even was, i was thinking of the Blur i think lol
Yeah, i know what you mean though, i have plenty of both, some of the metal/cf are enough to grip by the shape alone, but sometimes you just need a textured g10 or micarta
Received mine as well today.
Pros: When a knife is shipped by a vendor other then MD Hawaii residents get theirs the same time as the mainland.
Cons: The screw holes for tip up carry are too big so although it looks like could be used it cannot. So what was Kershaw thinking? Anybody else notice this?
Torx T6 for the clip and handle screws. T8 for the pivot screw.
The T6 is small and best to use high quality German 1/4” bits such as Wera, Felo, and Wiha.
You will appreciate the quality when removing those subborn screws held in with locking compound.
Best starting set to make are 2 x T6 1/4”, 2 x T8 1/4”, and 2 x handles. You will get the most wear with the T6’s. You might need the 2 x T8 for those rare occations the pivot rotates without loosening and you have to insert a bit on the other side holding stationary while turning the other. I bought them on ebay from kctoolco
These can be commonly found inn amazon discountes to $20 for the silver color (not carbon). 3x the price not worth it for carbon IMO. Wait for a Amz lightening deal
Sheeesh, has the last drop of this even shipped yet? Lol
Still waiting on soooo many new knives from brands we see here a lot, but instead we're repeating drops twice in the same month 🙄
UltraAudioAfter being burned one other drop that I did not check, I checked it there too just to make sure.

Was seriously looking at getting it until I read that the clip is for right hand only. It is really that hard to add 4 more holes if you are already making 4 for the right hand side?
sblaydesI'm a lefty to, you just gotta suck it up and carry it upside down in your left pocket. Some knives are worth the inconvenience I've found (hinderers, we knives, Mersham and some other small maker otherwise you'll miss out on some great hardware.

MeanbeanmungoNope, I don't have to suck it up. If you can't provide me a product that is comfortable for me to use, I am not going to spend my money on your product. There are enough other makers that have figured out how to make left handed versions so I am not stuck having to use right handed knives.
Elliott35The CPM 154CM is good stuff. Not that 14C28N is bad, but the powder process significantly improves steel. Crucible purchased 154 and then dropped it. Hitachi picked it up as ATS-34. The CPM picked 154 back up. Could you tell the difference in a knife that you used in the office? Probably not.
Anyone has any idea if they have fixed the metal inserts to change the leek to tip up carry? I'm really into this drop but it is putting me off if I can't change the clip to tip up carry.
