I usually look to Massdrop for special or interesting items but this knife has been out for a while. I don't see anything different here. Having owned one, I can tell you that it is "okay". The handle shape is comfortable. The texturing works without being too rough. The pocket clip is attractive but it does create a bit of a hot-spot. The steel is 8Cr13Mov and that's not great. It is easy to sharpen but won't hold an edge as well as 14C28N, 9Cr18Mov, Acuto 440, etc. It is also less resistant to corrosion and the bead-blasted finish won't do you any favors in that department. Make sure to keep it clean and oiled.

CromulentMassdrop is all of those things. Group-buying allows for special buying, whether it be a special price, a special edition, or whatever. That's what sets this place apart from normal retailers. I offered a quick review of the item and lamented that not much was special here. I think that's valid because this is a common item for sale about halfway between the current prices on Amazon and eBay.
