Got an email saying it was gonna be delayed, but then got another saying it was shipped the next day. Managed to get it on the 16th. First time mechanical keyboard owner here, it feels very nice just acclimating to the layout and the actuation force thing. Primary box looked abused though the keycool box within was still intact. Only thing I found missing was english manual, but managed to find out most functions looking up the keycool hero model. Guess my drunk self made a good choice for once!

So how many days did it take to get to you ? And does this keyboard have colours ?
Daasus
It pretty much took a week to get here. By colours, do you mean the LEDs or the caps themselves? If I remember correctly it was only 2 options for LEDs (RGB), with or without, I bit the bullet and opted for them and it pretty much has the same-ish functions as the keycool hero that someone translated the instructions for.
Is this south facing LED? the picture show it as south facing... but all the youtube videos I have seen shows north facing LED.
These caps look pretty good. Almost like gmk clones

Once again, another keyboard order cancelled. Sigh.
looks pretty slick tbh
Anyone have experience with this keyboard? If so, how is the quality? I can't find much about this one.

The "original case"? Is there an alternative one can get?
Second the very happy with Keycool 84 S2 also. I have no issue with the case. I like the Pgup / Pgdown on the side. A feature not mentioned is that the cord can be attached with a plate.
Is the housing black, dark gray, or silver? One of the reviews on mechanicalkeyboards.com mentioned that theirs was actually silver, and the pictures have me doubting myself...
Get some cherry MX clears on this!!!
Is the wire mini-USB or USB-C?

Yeah it looks like it but I'd rather be safe than sorry
found the sample =___= finally... it's mini usb... sorry gaiz
Seems like a decent drop, but I tried looking this model up online and could only find reviews from 3-5 years ago. Anyone have recent experience with it? I wouldn't mind getting something offset my MX BluesTKL keyboard I game with at home in case I ever want to... uh, be quieter.

I replied to a similar question above :)
How does the RGB lighting look/work?

Is there a non-pro version of the Masterkeys TKL with RGB? All the models I could find are above 120 USD. The keycaps on most of the CM keyboards aren't great, either.
If the RGB on this keyboard looks good with the stock caps, 82 USD ain't bad. But I guess I'll never know?

The 3 versions I'm aware of are the Masterkeys Pro S with RGB lighting , white back lighting, and the PBT version without lights. The RGB goes on sale for around $80-$90 depending on switch. I got my Blues for $60 a couple of BF ago after a $20 MIR from Amazon, or Newegg, but it hasn't been that low since. Might have been under $65-$70 once after that, and has definitely been in the $80 range several times. The PBT version goes on sale for $60 all the time. BF should have them on sale again.
What is limited with regards to Linux? I use linux as my primary OS and have never found a keyboard that doesn't work with Linux. Also is it QMK?

I came her wondering about the same thing. Why wouldn't it work?
How does this compare to the Keycool 84 2S?
mattstermh
well... one is 70% the other isn't. For the rgb I dunno, you can maybe find something on Google, otherwise it might be really similar

Probably similar quality, which is okay. Stabilizers will rattle and its plastic but it is what it is. My keycool 84 had a ghetto driver package, where it used like 6 different drivers and normally my keyboards only use 1. The problem is the kc84 is just super cool cause it's a cheap 84 key layout with cherry mx and can do a light show..which is hard to find at the price in 84 key layout. However for tkl boards, there are many many other options..which makes it a hard sell for me...cause keycool isnt top of the spectrum of choices there, but isn't a bad value I guess.
Is the gray the only color available?
How do I order the Mac compatible keyboard???
Load 2 more comments
Yeah! If you get no reply, I think it's safe to say that standard layer works normally, cmd, ctrl, option keys are located as would be on a standard mac keyboard, but not all the media buttons are supported (eject, music playback, bightness etc?).

There isn't a Mac-specific version. There's no need since pretty much all keyboards, regardless of their stated compatibility, are agnostic to platform. That said, there are a handful of things to know or to look out for when buying a keyboard for your Mac.
1. Though there are exceptions, you generally won't find a 'board with keycap legends to match OS X or Linux modifiers.
2. OS X supports 6KRO not NKRO. You'll have to make sure the keyboard has a toggle between those modes and, from my experience, most have this functionality.
3. (doesn't apply to this drop) Unless otherwise stated, control software is generally Windows-only, though this situation is improving. The hardware will still function with a Mac, but some of the features you paid for will be useless.
4. (doesn't apply to this drop) Wireless compatibility (generally Bluetooth) isn't guaranteed. You'll just have to trust reviews on this one.
Those caveats aside, you're free to choose any keyboard knowing it'll work with your Mac.
