Looks like a great item but like everyone else’s, it leaks.
Most are attributing it to the gasket, I think it’s actually the screw on portion of the lid. It is made of super light gauge “steel?”.
The first use everything worked fine but the second use the threads on the lid had deformed enough as to not create a tight enough seal on the gasket.
I’m going to try and find a Mason Jar lid that fits.
Too bad, the company did well with the glass, unfortunately they cheaped out on the lid material.
Its soo beautiful, and the idea is right, but it freaking leaks...and it doesnt matter how gently or firmly you tighten the lid...the silicone gasket is a design mistake. It is a single piece that covers the spout opening and the overall lid assembly, so any warping of the lid will result in a leak. The best I could manage this leak is about 80mL per 24 hr period with water as the fluid. I'm going to attempt to fix the leaking with custom gaskets, because it's still a dope piece of glasswork.
If you get this, I suggest buying a different spout/lid to go with it. I had to bend it with pliers to actually get it to seal and not leak. It looks very nice but wouldn't recommend.
I love the profile of the dispenser and how perfectly it fits on a refrigerator shelf. The only thing I would change is the lid and spout. Both are plastic; stainless steel would have been so much better.
