Hey everyone. Thanks for the interest in the Kizer Rogue. There are bits and pieces of the story on flat grind version and hollow grind. The very first Rogue was flat grind. It had a curve yo the spine of the blade V1. There were issues with keeping the blade edge straight. After some discussions with Kizer and based on my experience I asked for the blade to be hollow ground with straight spine. Also a change to the lock V2. This did allow the blade to get really sharp but the curved edge was still an issue. So, I requested we go back to a flat grind and keep the straight spine and updated handle V3. Hopong that we could gind a solution for the curved edge. It was my understanding the V3 wouldn't be seeing production until mid 2018. To be clear, there is no functional problem with any of these knives. As a maker and designer, I prefer a flat ground blade for wharncliffe knives. The milled clips are an add on and not an indication of a design change to the knife it self. Thanks everyone!
