Small but mighty, the Klarus Mi7 is a take-anywhere torch with plenty of power. With a typical AA battery, it offers up to 330 lumens, but load it with a 14500 battery and you’ll get an impressive 700 lumens of output and a beam that shines over 100 meters Read More
Dear @Massdrop, wtf guys?
This is the third drop I had being delivered this month, and this is the third email that I've got about "unexpected delays" and late shipments.
You're slacking.... Hope this isn't indicative of the new norm.
No problemo. And yea I feel your frustration. The Support team used to have a lot more freedom in regards to their communication style, but a combination of sheer volume, complexity, and team size forced some changes toward more standardized communication. The plus side is everyone is on the same page and the information is consistent, but it sometimes makes the messaging kind of vague. That said, I know their team is always working on improving things so I'll mention your experience to them.
Massdrop,
Please Please Please get Klarus to make this light with a tail cap instead of a push button on the side. I want to love this light but after using it for a while the side switch renders it useless for me :/
@AlexPk
Got one from amazon with prime. Didn’t cost that much more that what is list here.
I do do agree with the review that the clip is of a very low quality. Mine snapped first day just removing it.
Other wise it’s a pretty good light.
if you use the lithium ion battery to get the full 700 lm. It gets pretty hot at the head. But it auto drops to 330 lm after 3 mins. To protect itself.
The UI is a little odd but still good.
if it’s not in the locked mode long press takes you to moonlight mode another press turn it off.
short press takes you to full blast, then another press is low mode, then another press is off
double press anytime outside of locked mode does the strobe. Another double press is sos. Single press when in either strobe or sos takes you to the last setting it was on.
Long press until it flashes 2 times locks it. Once locked 3 presses unlocks. But it will flash anywhere from 3 to 1 time. That indicates how much juice you have left in the battery
@Kavik@KillerDistiller mine arrived today. So far, first impression is really good. Feels good in the hand, and the modes are easy to cycle through. I will leave a review after a couple days use. I use a small flashlight every day for work fixing stuff in squad cars.
jjl1911Yeah I got mine this week, loving it. It’s getting lots of use at the distillery. Only draw back is the battery level function doesn’t seem to be working on mine.
I just ordered one. It looks really cool, and the specs are decent. I only have 2 smaller flashlights I EDC, a cheap Amazon purchase and 511Tactical AAA. I had some MD credit, so the price was good. @Kavik do you have some tips for anodizing titanium? I have never done it, but watched a lot of vids. Thanks!
This is my first (if I don’t cancel) Drop transaction and probably my last. The execution on shipping in a timely manner is bad but the lack of communication is far worse. How hard is it to update with a shipping estimate?
I'm not a big flashlight guy, but I look at this and I want to anodize it, like right freaking now lol
Someone who's more versed in these things, convince me I need this small $50 flashlight?
Point of reference: the only "good" flashlight I have is the Imalent DN70. Totally different animal.
And i honestly couldn't even tell you where it is right now, that's how often I've used it
OmniseedI honestly haven't used it much. I don't often need a flashlight, so I can't really say about its longevity.
But it is compact, like in my jacket pocket and is barely noticeable until I do need it.
Seems pretty solid. Definitely better with a 14500 to get to power when needed, and longer life than a regular AA
I saw in the specs that it comes with a battery, but like “Benk” says ,or asks, what type of battery does it come with?
if it is a “AA” the big whoop, but if it is a “14500” then that’s something.
