$35 US to ship to Canada. Did they misplace the decimal point?

TriaedStill $35 to ship to Canada? And the same price to ship 5 units? Hmmm. Almost seems like they couldn't be bothered to look for competitive shipping rates outside the US. I guess foreign countries should just be thanking their lucky stars for being included in any drops - even though you'd have to be crazy to pay shipping for some.

blahhhFrom my point of view, the US is the foreign country :-) JK! Canada is fairly well included in most drops. We also have integrated supply chains that make shipping almost a no brainer and there are very competitive shipping rates (NAFTA and current White House tenant notwithstanding); so it is odd to see these rates. I'd be all over MD drops if it weren't for these rates. You know who has it figured out? The NFL Shop!

can anyone confirm (since nowhere does it say), whether or not this is a bare light or if it's a full retail package (with the 18650 and all of the charging goodies)?

ChelemboundYes, it comes with a 18650 battery.

Ok, it seems this has been bought before. Can someone comment on durability? I want this to take it camping/hiking, for my eldest scout, etc. I wont spend that much money with the reviews on durability. I want it because usb recharge and that swivel head has me in love. I want it in my pocket lighting my path, I sweat too much and my head lamp gets me too wet/hot.

Yeah just took a look. They are pretty similar slightly higher output and micro USB connection external charging connection on the Klarus. Looks like it's based on the same chassis though.

So a few months later... Still working just fine but the head has loosened up quite a bit. It won't droop from it's own weight but it's a little annoying. Aluminium has taken a few dents and dings nothing major. Overall not bad

How do you put a light on massdrop and not take pictures of the switches that turn it on or a picture of the tail cap? Can't tell how to turn this light on from the pictures, so someone did a poor photography job here.

SugarRayThe on/off button is on the side, near the light. Very easy to operate. I bought this a few months ago and I LOVE it! I just wish I'd waited - this is a super bargain price!
snail911Are we allowed to ask final drop prices ? I had this bookmarked but it already close by the time I came back to it and am still in the market for a good flashlight.

Cdn519A good price but you're right about durability. Once you add that spinning point of failure, the life of it has to be reduced. Better to buy 2 good lights. Just my take.

this looks like the ar10 and i cant find any info on the "rt20", is this actually a new model or just a renamed ar10?
waywardsonThe AR10 is a revised RT20. The changes are minimal.

i purchased two a while back, use it for traveling, mine both shipped with klarus 2600 mAh batteries. it is operated by a single button, each klick toggles through the different brightness settings, long click turns it off. the quick double click turns it into a strobe light. it also has a magentic base, very usefull. in the end its a light, it works, does get hot in turbo mode.

Is anyone else having trouble after receiving theirs with the brightness between "Turbo" and "High" settings? I can barely tell the difference even though the box says there is about 400 lumens difference.
