The Magog by Kodiak has the look of a classic men’s work boot with the comfort of a walking shoe. Designed to keep your feet dry, the Magog is made of waterproof leather with sealed seams and anti-corrosive hardware Read More
Had these for one season last winter and they were utterly destroyed after 4 mos in NYC. Bottom sole beneath the insole and rubber is fiberboard. When worn daily, they never ever dried out. Even when I dried them on my radiators, this still lead to bits of paper wadding up and coming out of the boots after 1.5-2mos. Originally purchased from REI and they accepted them back without issue. Still, if you're looking for a winter boot that will get wet as much as snow, unfortunately I'd look elsewhere.
Look great, but functionality just isn't there.
mynameismynameThey're "natural leather welt" according to their website, however they sell this brand at a local shoe repair shop/shoe store and I'm fairly certain they only sell repairable brands.
When MD posts drps of crap like this it ruins the site's credibility.
MD: Put some research into the products before you agree to list them. Actually vet things from little-known brands and you can earn people's trust.
I grew up in Vancouver and have always known about kodiak, they're a 100 something year old brand. I always remember my dad wearing them. I got a pair at REI a year ago and have loved them since!
I have had these before and I have to say, although comfortable, they did not last more than 3 months working maintenance. If you're looking for a robust work boot. This isn't it.
