there are not vey light and the locking mechanism does no t work when they are collapsed-- so the small section slides out.
not nearly as light as my Black diamond Poles

SailfitInteresting mine lock rock-solid, did you adjust them properly? Since the bottom section tapers you must fully collapse it to engage the basket assembly. The molding for the basket piece has the girth to allow it to lock closed. Could be your bottom section lock needs a little more grip/lock adjustment. My pair is 14.5oz, what does your BD pair weigh and which model?
