Sennheiser PC37X randomly goes bad after disconnecting the cable ?
Greetings, Yesterday I was using my headset like normal with my macbook, just listening to music and on a call with people like usual, and the headset was perfectly fine. The stock wire that came with the headset is extremely long and yesterday it annoyed me very much that it kept getting tangled with itself, so I decided to see if the cable is replaceable. I pulled out the cable from the headset and saw the adapter, and looked online for a replacement. Upon plugging it back in, the audio sounded extremely muffled and washed out. I suggest checking out some youtube videos to see how it's used and hear what kind of sounds can be made with it. If it's a sound you'd like to make, get one, if not, save your money.
The hands-on 1:1 control to parameter layout will make learning how synthesis works an absolute joy, and the patch bay/cables will let you get really weird really quick once you get the basics down. Once you've moved on to more complicated instruments, the pure analog nature of this one will ensure any tracks you record have that warm & gritty soul that people will swear that software simply can't replicate. Just sample some drum noises for layering and throw a sub-bass under whatever you want. You'll have woofers dropping bottom in no time.
Maybe you'll pick it up and decide it's not your thing. It could happen. But as long as you treat the synth right, Korgs pristine reputation and massdrops pricing will make sure you recoup at least most of your loss when you turn it around on eBay.
