dwane5Easy to drive, comfortable for hours since they are so light and they sound better than anything else I've heard under $70 (Porta Pro not included). They aren't accurate or even the most clear but they just have a sound that's instantly likeable. The Porta Pros are probably a little better sounding and maybe even a little more comfortable but I think the best way to describe these is like an old pair of Levi jeans lol. I have these, the Porta Pros, Vmoda M100, AKG K240s, Hd6xx, M50x, and the Fostex T50rp mkiii ... But I use the Kph30i on a daily basis. I hope that helps, I'm not knowledgeable enough to explain it on a scientific level - I just how they sound.
RandomDeviationHonestly, I waited and waited and finally just bought mine new on ebay for $75 more. The point of mentioning that is that even after paying more than the drop price I don't feel cheated - the 6xx is an amazing pair of cans. At first I was a little underwhelmed but after a few sessions of back to back listening I started noticing sounds I've never heard before on tracks I've had for 10 years. The head clamp is real and it takes a few days to get used to but it's relatively comfortable because of the pads. I personally enjoy them and think that most people will too. Hope that helps!
