Thanks for explaining the wattage issue. I too saw the 900W requirement and nearly moved on, knowing our micro islisted as having a higher wattage. So shortening the cook time actually reduces wattage for that particular recipe. Hmmm. I'm going to have to work that one through the ol' brain.
marlabeeMost if not all microwaves allow you to adjust their power level. Some are daft and only provide % means of dialing down.
1000W mic, power set to 90% runs at 900W.
Just an FYI for people who may not realize they can adjust the power output of their microwaves.
Wow the discussion here is hilarious. So many problems it seems. Really its everyone's fault for even wanting to use a microwave pressure cooker. GROSS
Well Sharkbait and BKC501:
I have joined the ranks of the silicone pot protectors as well. I just got back in from out of the Country and was ready to start trying my two microwave pressure cookers, and to my surprise, I received the blue one in the correct box, but the green one came in a 2": high soft pliable white envelope.
Well mistakes can be made, but 1) the factory must have made a part of the mistake, 2) MD staff should have known pressure cookers are not flat and finally 3) MD customer support should have already notified every purchaser of this product the second that the problem was reported and let them know of the problem AND how they are going to resolve the problem.
But not a word from MD.
This is pitiful.
Hope you both get your correct products timely, but somehow I doubt we will.
Wonder how many have been"flumoxed".....
Got my replay back. Said basically wasn't their problem, tough to me, their are refunding my money for the second Pressure Cooker, they bought no extra stock to help with shipping problems or defective product and that was it.
People in customer support at Amazon would have been fired with that sort of response.
I believe I am finished with MD.
Good luck to you.
Mike
mike.friedkinI also just came back overseas, opened the box just now, and got the exact same thing! I just opened a support ticket and checked the discussion here and saw this thread. Based on the discussion here, I don't think I'll get my second cooker.
I'm attaching a photo of what came in my box for people who are curious. Looks like everyone who ordered a blue and a green cooker got screwed. The green cooker was replaced by some random dish protector.
Anyone else received a bunch of cookware protectors instead? The item was shipped by MD, so it went through their hands. What would you expect MD to do, in addition to just shipping the correct item? What would it take to keep customers like us happy and do business in the future?
BTW here is a pic of the closest thing I can find online that matches what I received. I don’t want to open the packaging any further:
I bought one last drop, loved it, and now I purchased two more. One to keep (can't have too many LOL) and another one to give. If you're on the fence, give it a shot. You might be pleasantly surprised.
GeoptusYou can just click on the "join drop" button and it'll show you everything you'll need to pay. It won't actually add you to the drop yet until you confirm.
Bought one in last Drop, honestly this is like one greatest discovery for me since sous vide gadgets, maybe even more (because it is so much faster), rarely I say it, it REALLY is as seen on TV.
