Sennheiser PC37X randomly goes bad after disconnecting the cable ?
Greetings, Yesterday I was using my headset like normal with my macbook, just listening to music and on a call with people like usual, and the headset was perfectly fine. The stock wire that came with the headset is extremely long and yesterday it annoyed me very much that it kept getting tangled with itself, so I decided to see if the cable is replaceable. I pulled out the cable from the headset and saw the adapter, and looked online for a replacement. Upon plugging it back in, the audio sounded extremely muffled and washed out. Im not sure what I did wrong to make it mess up like that as I've always taken good care of it, ive had it for about 2 years and its always just been chilling on my desk, but anywho I thought the cable just went bad and ordered a replacement. The replacement came, and the issue is still persistant, so I am not sure what the issue is I've tried multiple different headsets and the issue is not with the port, and I also tried it with my windows laptop and...

L.P. site direct is $940 and currently winter code saves 15% to drop to $799.
It will likely drop here again sometime, as mfr occasionally repeats models drops.
End of November (last week @ black friday) mfr had a whopping 25% off site discount all around for a week or two, which is same as drop price here likely.
Have 2 of their amps - very highly recomend this amp mfr Lake People/Violectric.
These 2 amps are in 2 different locations for me & have never A-B tested them, however, they are so extremely close to each other, it would be nearly indistinguishable sonically, only with a very tiny bit edge given to V100 .
If driving HE-6, you'll want to move up in the Violectric line up to properly extrude all the HE-6 have to offer, maximizing them to their full potential. Also HD800 & HD800"S" sound very nice with these 2 models, yet maximize their fullest with higher other models.
I could go on more about this mfr's 2 lines of amps, yet it would be too long. The V100 and likely (haven't heard) RS-08 are very worthwhile serious amps in this price range, new or used, to which only a very small few compare (just a simple handful). Without getting very deep into it (takes too long), I would select Violectric over those other handful for both their sound and ability not to fail nor need repair.
Hope of some help.
