I know I don't need to sing the praises of this workhorse pen. With 6 days remaining 2/3 of available stock has been purchased. I wanted to remind folks of a few things, in case they slipped your mind:
1. The AL-Star comes in purple. The Safari does not. I'm not sure if any purple are still in stock, but if they are, something to keep in mind.
2. The nibs can be swapped rather easily with any other Lamy pen that takes a similar nib. Also, many online retailers will see you just the nib. For example, I have a three nibs for two compatible pens.
3. $4.00 for the Z24 is an excellent price. Also, the Z24 is an excellent converter, IMO.
4. Pens with the converter are refilled the same as other C/C pens. When installing the converter, remember the Z24 has 2 "nubs" that fit into "holders" on the section. This helps keep the converter secure. When refilling after a cleaning, remember to push a little bit of ink through the feed before using - it just saves time and helps you get the most out of your fill: Twist to fill, twist to expell (just a little), twist to fill again to the top.
Hope this helps.
Cheers.
RojoNinjaReally?! That's awesome. I had no idea. Thanks for the heads-up. I'll snoop around for more info. :-) Do you know if it's been announced officially by Lamy yet or is it still a "all but the official announcement" true rumor?
