With a detailed EQ profile applied (see below) and pads swapped to protein leather (standard oval) Brainwavz pads, I've found that the Lasmex L-85 headphones can be transformed into absolutely superb headphones. Though, their presentation is a little less spacious/airy than most open-back headphones.
I recommend installing a free Windows program called Equalizer APO. Then click on the green "+" and select "Graphic equalizer with variable bands". Then simply copy-paste the following customized EQ into the 'Edit text' bar:
GraphicEQ: 30 0; 35 -5; 40 -7.5; 45 -9; 52 -10.5; 60 -11.25; 70 -11.75; 80 -12; 120 -12; 160 -11.75; 200 -11.5; 250 -10.75; 315 -9; 400 -6; 500 -3; 630 -1; 800 0; 1000 -1; 1500 -3; 2200 -5; 4000 -7; 5000 -7; 7000 -7; 8000 -7; 10000 -7; 11000 -7; 13000 -7; 15000 -7; 17000 -7; 19000 -7; 20000 -7
In iOS (iPhone/iPad/iPod Touch), I recommend the Lounge, Treble Reducer, or Pop presets. Please read my older post for more information.
In summary, I highly recommended the Lasmex L-85 as long as you can use an EQ program... and change out their pads.
