I just got mine today, and after inking it up, I gave it a try. Posting a bit of a review here, for those who may be interested in this pen later.
The one I got was the Java-Fine. This is a super light pen. It weighs in at 17.9g. This is barely beating out my Pilot Prera (the small pen) which weighs in at 16.75. This weighs about the same as a Lamy Safari, which comes in about 17.6g These measures are with the pen fully inked up.
That's probably my main argument against the pen. Being that it's plastic, it really comes in around the same as other pens of similar construction, so it's not a really bad thing.
The pen does write very smoothly. Considerably smoother than the Lamy Safari (which is a fine nib, too). It is even smoother than my Platinum Cool Medium, which surprised me. It's about as smooth as my Pilot Custom Heritage 92 Medium, which again..with a fine nib, that's pretty impressive.
The nib two-tone look is quite beautiful. The flow and feed seems to keep up well. With fast writing, I only had one 'skip', although that could be a mistake on my part. All in all, it kept up really well. The nib is a lot more flexible than I expected. Definitely more line variation than the Prera (which is more like a nail), and not quite as much compared to the Pilot Custom 92
I think this is a good pen, especially for the money. Definitely a pen I plan on using quite a bit.
I'm including some pictures, including a writing sample and a dryness measure.
