My monitor was delivered on 12-04-2015. I had work so I couldn't set it up until I got home later in the day. My old monitor is an Acer P216HV 21.5 inch 1920x1080 (60Hz). I never read instructions so if you are like me you might find the initial monitor setup to be annoying. I used the display port so that I can take advantage of the 144Hz refresh rate but the display port is like input 5 or something like that so you have to change the monitor input to that for anything to show on there. The on/off button is under the 5 buttons on the front of the display but it took me a few minutes to find that it's not just a button. The on/off button is also a small joystick and it's what you use to navigate through the menu. The brightness on this LG monitor is blinding and I turned it down to around 40% from it's default 70%. I also noticed that at default settings it looks like the color white exploded inside of the display. I immediately noticed when looking at my wallpaper that blacks were not that great. My old monitor is super dim and my phone uses an AMOLED display so I'm used to colors being fairly accurate (especially blacks). I set the Black Stabilizer option in the settings to 0% and there's still a hint of whiteness everywhere but it's not nearly as bad. I also messed around in my nvidia control panel and found that if I adjust the brightness and contrast in there I could make the colors look better. Unfortunately though the better the colors look (or the less white affect that you have) the harder it is to see if you're in a dark place in a game. Because I bought this monitor for gaming and not because I wanted or needed an IPS panel with amazing color correctness I'm just gonna have to get used to the weird white affect.
I'm sure most of you will figure it out but for those few who don't know or might forget. The monitor will most likely run at 60Hz by default so make sure to change it to your desired refresh rate through windows or through your GPU control panel. Also, to run the motion 240 thing you have to set the refresh rate somewhere between 100Hz and 120Hz and I think you have to turn DAS off in the monitor menu. Motion 240 won't work if the refresh rate is set higher than 120Hz. Another thing that I ran into was a problem with nvidia's shadowplay recorder. I've been using shadowplay because I only have a GTX960 and I get a 0FPS hit plus I can record 24/7 and/or record the last 10+ minutes of anything with the push of a button. It seems though that shadowplay doesn't like when you have more than one monitor and only minutes after my computer turned on with both my old and new monitor plugged in it stopped working. I tried googling the issue to see if there was an easy fix but it looks like you have to just have one monitor plugged in to use shadowplay.
All in all I'd say this monitor is worth it after you go through the settings and fix the insane white affect. (I'll add a picture of my setup later once I get the chance to clean things up a bit)
One last thing. For anyone that is interested in buying this monitor from any possible future drops, I wouldn't recommend it unless you don't mind a literal 2 month wait. I can understand a longer (2-4 week) shipping time from a smaller company but a 2 month wait from LG when the drop only ended up having like 33 final participants? @Massdrop: please contact LG BEFORE future drops and find out (if possible) what the shipping time will be because a 2 month wait, although not your fault, gives you the bad name, not the manufacturer that's originally shipping the items.
