Been really happy with the price I paid and the quality of the product. TV has been running great and people are surprised at how much I got it for compared with price at other places. Glad I got the E8 because the glass backing probably did help with protecting the TV as other commentors have stated.

I've enjoyed OLED for about three years now, with an LG 55EC9300 as my first. This drop of the LG 65" E8, had not only with the lowest (LG Supported) pricing I've seen so far, but it was with one of the higher-end units, and was a great purchase.  I was prepared for the ultimate in blacks, but what I wasn't prepared for was high-luminance content. On all non-HDR and HDR content I could sample over the weekend, the overall image is breathtaking. When I switched over to my 4K Firestick, the logo for "DolbyVision" was prominent on the screen. Titles and other picture elements are so bright, I feel like I'm already burning them into the screen, but then I stop the internal panic, and realize they're only on the screen for seconds. I read the review in Consumer Reports, and set the picture settings to match their recommendations for my Layer3 Set-Top box, until I can get an ISF guy out to house to calibrate. In the meantime, I find it rewarding to watch some shows over again that I've already seen, as even with non-4K, non-HDR content, bright scenes have more "life" to them than ever before. Now I'm looking for the 4K/HDR of "2001 - A Space Odyssey" for the ultimate experience. I registered on LGs site and even purchased an extended warranty for less money that Amazon, Best Buy or other dealers. Thx, Steve

After having this TV setup for about a week, here are my thoughts... You're really not going to find a better price on either the 55" or 65" versions of the E8 out there from another reputable dealer, unless there is some freak Black Friday sale coming that I don't know about. Even then, this is a great value. As others have stated, you can also purchase this with a Citi card and submit a Price Rewind claim to get back up to $200 in price difference when compared with less savory dealers online selling for much cheaper. I received my TV on schedule via FedEx, however I still have not received my e-mail from LG verifying the manufacturer's warranty. Will need to follow-up with LG/Massdrop on that one. I would recommend freeing your whole day for the scheduled delivery, as FedEx can be inconsistent with delivery times. My delivery guy was nice enough to let me unpack the TV and inspect for damages, but this may not be the case for most other people.

The TV was double boxed. The outer box had no orientation or fragile markings, so this may have caused concern about how it was handled. My TV was laying flat on the FedEx truck and I nearly had a heart attack when I saw this. The driver had no idea that this was a TV and even commented that he thought it was a mattress! Luckily the inner box was braced at the corners with some sort of dense foam material. The inner box had a dent, but nothing penetrated. The TV itself was sealed and in pristine condition. No dead pixels, no cracked glass, and overall, the panel was perfect. I definitely had to hustle in order to test the TV while the driver was waiting. Luckily, the power cord was already attached. I actually had the bottom half of the inner box still on while the TV was powered so that the TV could stand upright during the inspection.

Please read the user manual carefully before setting up the TV, as the E8 has to be lifted by two people and hand placement is crucial in preventing damage/injury by the user. Once setup, the TV was just breathtaking! I opted to mount the TV on the included stand, and I believe this is the most optimal from an aesthetics standpoint. I have seen this same TV wall mounted, and it doesn't look as nice IMHO.

Massdrop really hit it out of the park with this one! I just would like to see an option available to pay more for white glove/freight delivery, especially for those that can't physically receive the TV themselves. FedEx should not be an option!

Amazing picture quality! Incredibly black blacks, and very accurate color, right out of the box (once you find the right color mode). Surprisingly, one of my favorite things is the remote. Providing a mouse-like (with its built in gyro) interface capability makes interacting with the TV menus so much easier than the standard push button remote paradigm. Didn't think I'd be able to afford an OLED for a few more years, but this price was right in my range. This replaced my aging Plasma (space heater) with even better picture quality. The only thing I'm' going to miss is watching movies like Avatar in 3D. Hopefully, they'll bring back 3D in the future in a better format. Couldn't be happier with my purchase.

At first I thought this deal was to good to be true, but everything was as advertised and arrived when promised. Once setup I found calibration settings used by a professional reviewer to test the television. HDR and Ultra HD programming is readily available and breathtaking. My only regret is not purchasing the 65" model.

Awesome deal! Gorgeous picture! FedEx delivery was perfect. Boxed well. Thought it was too good to be true at first but best price on the internet for this model.

TV is amazing upgrade from a LCD. I was one of lucky ones with shipping since shipped from NJ and only had go to CT so there was any damage to the packaging. Only wish they let you set the time for deliveries it was not a good time for the window they gave me. But with that massdrop process was a stressful one making it your complete issue if something was broken. I honestly feel more comfortable buying something off ebay from a stranger than buying from Massdrop. If I like anything on here I going put some serious thought that I should really do business with a company that doesnt care about it customers.

LG’s E8 is a fantastic tv, the picture quality is amazing. Used to have a Samsung HD TV and the E8 is a major upgrade. Definitely worth 5 stars however, the shipping experience with Fedex was a nightmare.

Great TV. Seriously, just read the reviews, it's amazing. I'm replacing an identically-sized Panasonic plasma; I never thought I'd say this, but this is a jaw-dropping upgrade over the plasma. And I can actually lift this one. Thanks, LG! Warranty registration was legit, but required a bit of back-and-forth with Massdrop, but eventually everything worked out, and as of today I can log in at lg.com and see my product registered as it's supposed to be (and apparently, I bought this from Beach Camera, not Massdrop). Thanks, LG+Massdrop! Great price. $1k off the going pricing was impossible to pass up. One. Thousand. Dollars. Thanks, MassdropBeach Camera! Terrible shipping. I would have paid extra (a lot extra, see above about how much I saved) to get this sent via a real shipping company that knows how to handle residential scheduling with large/expensive items. I shouldn't have to yell at a customer service rep just to get something delivered. Thanks, FedEx! :P Seriously, Massdrop: stop using FedEx for things like this, or pay them whatever you have to so that this part of the experience doesn't suck so much. It's not okay for me to have to camp out in front of my apartment waiting for a driver that will arrive "sometime before 8pm today" just to make sure the guy doesn't just stick a tag on my door and drive off because he doesn't feel like unloading a heavy item that day (or, alternatively, discover two minutes after the driver has disappeared that the delivery didn't happen, and have to yell at a CSR to get the driver to come back).

This TV is absolutely amazing and arrived in perfect order. The price I paid could not be beat and most likely will not be beat for another six months for this model.
The only issue I had with this experience is that it did not ship with the process that Massdrop promised. MD claimed a specific shipping service would contact me with a specific delivery window and the delivery man would allow me to inspect the boxes contained in the order. This is not what happened. A FedEx guy just randomly showed up at my door one evening and had me sign quickly for the shipment. I assume this lack of detail in the delivery process is how some of the horror stories happen that you read on MD. Mine arrived perfectly, but I was just taken aback by the lack of communication on shipping the product.
With that said, my TV did arrive a few days earlier before the estimated shipping date, so I won't complain about that.
Overall it was a perfect product at an unbelievable price!

MassDemons456My fedex guy was was cool with me inspecting it. But if they gave me trouble I would have refused it, if they denied my inspection. I took the whole TV out of the box in the driveway before signing lol.
