@B.Hutch , perhaps you can clarify... You say below ( https://www.massdrop.com/buy/lg-55-inch-c7p-oled-4k-hdr-smart-tv/talk/1926011 ) that absence from an authorized dealer list shouldn't raise any red flags for buyers, but it seems that Massdrop is instead listed on LG's explicit "These are not authorized retailers" list: http://www.lg.com/us/authorizeddealers/lg_online_authorized_retailers . (See also: https://www.massdrop.com/buy/lg-55-inch-c7p-oled-4k-hdr-smart-tv/talk/1925414 )
Is there anything in writing that confirms that LG will honor warranty on these purchases, despite the appearances from their website... or from Massdrop offering any similar assurance ?

billnyeThis is an excellent question. I participated in this drop based on the express representation from MassDrop staff that the TV would be protected by LG’s one-year warranty. In light of what’s on LG’s website, I agree that we need something more official than a comment in a thread.

billnyeFYI. I asked this question on the B7A thread, where B.Hutch also mentioned the LG warrant, and this was his response:
"I think the thousands sold so far with all community members registered for their warranties is enough proof. If they were not registered with warranty the discussions here on Massdrop for these drops would be flooded with complaints. They are not. We deliver what we promise."
https://www.massdrop.com/buy/lg-55-b7-oled-4k-hdr-smart-tv/talk/1960228
So, basically, "take our word for it." I guess I'll have to since my TV is already on the way. But I'll be sure to verify that my warranty is registered with LG.
billnyeAs mentioned in the drop description page this product will come with a warranty directly with LG. You will be pre-registered for this warranty and receive an email with this information. Also please make sure that you include a phone number on your Massdrop account profile so that deliveries can be scheduled.
Cheers.

Tex-ArozziThanks for the response. One additional question: who is supposed to call us for delivery purposes? A number of people have mentioned that the TV just showed up with little or no notice from FedEx. I'm not sure anyone is getting a call from FedEx. Is that what's supposed to happen? I ask because my shipment is scheduled for delivery, and I need to get a call to ensure someone is there to accept delivery. Thanks for the clarification.
PghEOFor the community members that order the 55" models there will be no phone calls. You will need to monitor your tracking information. For those that order the 65" you should expect a phone call to schedule a delivery time.

Tex-ArozziFYI. My 65” C7P was delivered by FedEx yesterday. I didn’t receive a call to set up delivery. Unlike other folks, I did get notification and tracking info from MassDrop when the TV shipped, but no one called to schedule delivery. I spent a long time on the phone with FedEx trying to schedule a window when I could get there to sign for it. Curious whether other folks got a call prior to delivery. My TV came inside another box with packing cushions at the corners. I haven’t unboxed it yet but it appears the LG box is intact.
@B.Hutch — when are we supposed to receive an email about being pre-registered for the 1-year LG warranty?
PghEOI am not sure why your deliver was different than others and I am also curious to know if any other buyers of the 65" had the same experience.
You should receive a warranty registration email soon.

winabisI haven’t seen anyone post on this thread or another LG OLED (B7 or E7) thread that they received a warranty email.

PghEOGot this email today: Your LG 55" or 65" C7P OLED 4K HDR Smart TV was delivered to 927 Main St on February 9th. If you have additional questions or concerns, please visit our Help Center. It's basically worthless and has nothing to do with the warranty info.
PghEOYou will get an email for warranty registration. It can take a week or two after you get your shipment. Please be patient. Thank you.

winabisAs promised, I received an email directly from LG this afternoon, confirming that my TV---identified by model number and serial number, with purchase date 1/23/2018---has, in fact, been registered for warranty purposes. So for anyone still wondering, yes, the TV does come with an LG warranty.
All in all, the process went pretty smoothly for me, though MassDrop could've done a better job in the drop description spelling out exactly what is going to happen. The one thing that affirmatively did not happen in my case was the phone call to set up a delivery time. If not for my own efforts to contact FedEx delivery and get a message to the local distribution facility to deliver the TV before a certain time, I'm guessing I would've missed at least one attempt (meaning more time for the TV to bounce around on a truck).
