Love this. Chose the red(more on burgandy side). Bit small in my big hands. Only one problem is now I want more lion steel knives. Will definitely debate on which one to pick up. Great all I need is more knives to feed my addiction....could be worse I guess.

locura247I elected to go with the red as well. I typically don't care for a polished/shiny stainless steel blade, but paired with the red handle it looks incredible, imo.
Deployment was my number one concern going into this drop. I could find very little mention of it in the reviews I read, nor did I see many(if any, really)videos of them being gingerly deployed. In fact, after reading nothing but their praises for years, I found myself stumbling more than a fair share of naysayers. Needless to say, I was pleasantly surprised at how smooth and(relatively speaking) how fast that thing deployed after I had a little time to play with it.
Honeslty, this knife makes me want one of their flipper SR1's they make. I imagine it probably feels pretty nice.
I guess what i'm trying to say is, Good taste in colors, gentleman.
Link to a clip of me opening it.

TacotimeTake a look @ the SR-11. Which looks like they took they SR-1 and made it a flipper and replaced washers with Ball Bearing.

TacotimeMine was really hard to open. I took it apart and found bits of metal and some rather grimy lube. After cleaning the action is much better and I can flick it open like the video. Overall I like the knife a lot. If MD could get the new SR-11 for a good price I'd pick one up.
I took a picture of some metal chunks that were embedded in the washers:
