So, my package arrived today. Horrible packaging job. The tubes were just taped together inside of the box, rattling around with no bubble-wrap or anything around them. One of the tubes is very obviously broken and I'm not sure how well the others are just yet, as there are shards of glass inside my package due to the damaged tube. Contacting support.

deftranceThis scared the sh*t out of me, when opening the package had the same thing. However, to my relief, no broken tubes it seems, al silver still in place (sign of vacuum in the tubes). Tubes seem to be inserted in the designated holes in the styrofoam and taped in place. But 3 of the 4 fell out during shipping and got tangled in the tape. I got lucky, sorry to hear you got broken ones :(Feedback to massdrop on that imho. About the LD+upgraded tubes, my first tube amp, hooked it up to my NAD dac and did a test round with my beyers and hd650. Love It!!! Compared to my nad and schiit solid amps, who both sound clean and precise, its sounds lush and warm with a nice soundstage. Sorry about the hi-fi-ish description, cant describe it it in a different way. Love love love the tube sound. Cant wait till the tubes have some break-in time and open up to the sound. (no pun intended) Great deal, thanks massdrop!!!

deftranceMine arrived yesterday, and the packing was NOT good at all... My tubes all survived, but I am not sure how... My device is working fine, and my tubes are all good to go, but I was very worried, and I can see how many people got damaged ones. I just got lucky.

AverageJooeI am still waiting to hear from the vendor regarding replacements. Massdrop said they were contacting them as of March 28th. No follow-up since, as of yet.

deftranceMassdrop ended up taking care of the issue after a small bit of prodding. I am pleased with my LD Mk II! They work wonderfully with all of my cans alongside my XDuoo for DAC.
