With the launch of the Genesis X1 automatic, LIV Watches became the most crowdfunded Swiss watch startup in Kickstarter history. And the company has been innovating ever since Read More
When these quartz watches were "Swiss Made," they had a certain cachet. Now that they are merely "Swiss Movement," they are much less enticing. If someone wants a quartz watch with the word "Swiss" on the dial, buy a Swatch and enjoy a much larger range of styles for about half the price.
polarbear9977I honestly thought these guys were different so I jumped on board their latest campaign and ordered two watches (about 18 months ago now) After the delivery period was repeatedly pushed further and further back -by around 7-8 months- (all the while we were being told it was because they didn’t want to compromise on quality) our watches finally arrived with fixed bezels when they were supposed to rotate!! Given the option to wait a further few months to have this rectified or take the fixed bezel option, I chose the latter option as I thought I could live with a fixed bezel on a diver. But, when it arrived it was fixed in misaligned position! It was only around 1mm but it was obvious and enough to really annoy me. The second watch I had ordered also had light scratches on the rear (as though it was a refurbished return or something) I decided to return them for a refund, which they provided, but I was forced to pay my international return postage which I do not believe is right. On top of this, the emails I have sent them to try and have this situation sorted out fairly have now been ignored. I’m very disappointed and actually really surprised as I genuinely thought these guys were different. Well done if you’ve had a good experience with LIV, but I certainly won’t be buying another of their products or recommending anyone else do either.
