Is the lightening cable the same size as the Apple lightening connector? Before ordering I want to confirm that it will be able to be used with an iPhone 6 in a Lifeproof case. The last two lightening cables I have ordered have ended up not fitting through the Lifeproof case (Apple branded cables fit).

texas1914Hi Texas1914, the Piston Connect Steel Jolt Lightning Cable has a case-friendly step up, which allows it to fit into most cases. However, we have not tested it with the Lifeproof cases and know that this product requires a tiny connector. We are not 100% confident to advise that this cable fits inside at this time. We will try to purchase a Lifeproof case and an Otterbox case to do some testing ASAP and let you know. Apologies for the inconvenience.

LOGiiXI greatly appreciate your checking into this. This drop has 6 days left so there is some time and if you do not get the opportunity to test before then, well maybe next time I can jump in depending on the results.
To the earlier poster remarking on getting an adapter, the cable is actually for my wife, who I know will not want to be bothered with adapters or an overly snug fit; especially when you factor in needing both a cable and adapter for the car, home, and her purse. To me, easy is just a cable, nothing else needed, which is also the more cost effective route.

texas1914Hi Texas1914, we ran out to purchase one and we got the Lifeproof FRE for iPhone 6/6s and the Piston Connect Steel Jolt Lightning cable fits perfectly :)

LOGiiXThe OtterBoxes I've experienced have a good-sized space for the micro USB port. My turbo charger prong looks to be around the same size as the micro USB steel cable, if not the steel cable prong is smaller, and my charger fits no problem.
