I purchased a outdoors 2.0 model at walmart last weekend in store for $14.99. You can also find them on their website with free in-store pickup at said 14.99. @ the lowest price point Massdrop is still failing to beat this price once you add the +$3.00 per light for the outdoor 2.0 upgrade + $3.50 for shipping.
Ha, sure. Don't take it scuba diving. Since it is full of air, you might have a little trouble keeping it immersed though, unless you are actively trying to. Floating it in a pool would be fine though.
These are really good lights for camping or multi day walks, I've been using mine for about a year. However they are only chargeable through the solar panel which is why I've switched to luminaid as they can be boosted back up with a power bank.
These may also be an older model, as I believe the new model has an adjustable strap at the top over the solar panel, which is very useful when attaching the light to a tree branch etc. another feature I liked in the luminaid.
djprThe outdoor one does say it has an adjustable strap. I've had one for about 3 years and still works great. I made a carrying case for it so it doesn't get poked when not in use. Bought a cheaper off brand one first and was piece of junk. Plastic thin as a plastic bag and arrived w/hole in it already/useless. This one is heavy plastic and has held up great.
Had one of the EMRG fail the first time I used it, day 3 of the O at TdP. Not sure what happened, but wasn't a necessity and returning it was going to be a hassle so I just binned it. Battery was drained to empty before I could recharge, may have something to do with it, but shouldn't.
