I just returned from a 5 day camping /fishing trip. I used my LuminAID lights for the tent and around the camp. The lights were used for about 3 hours daily and they all charged back up during the day. One was used under a Noah's Tarp and it charged without direct sun light! These are great lights and weigh so much less than traditional battery or fuel operated lanterns.

Raechiliealso want to know this. from what i can tell there is an older model of luminaid just simply called 'max' which doesn't charge devices. i think the one being sold here is that older model. pretty sneaky to leave this unclarified tbh

lrbatchelorHi! Thanks for your question and sorry for the confusion. The PackLite Max USB, offered in this drop has a USB input port but not an output port and is not able to charge external devices. Very cool! There are so many places in underdeveloped Countries that could use this. People whos only light source is fire.They have so many health and lung issues due to breathing the smoke. North Korea would certainly appreciate these. I would donate money to help get these distributed. I'll have to look further into this.

ElsidGood one. Flrrt. I hope this brings some positive attention to the needs of others less fortunate, so that they may recieve help. North Korea is in the dark as seen by satilite. It was a side jab. We'd be put in prison if we tried to assist those poor unknowing people. Yet their are many people we can help and I don't think their concerned with charging their cell phones.

Has anyone had any issues with the power/settings button being too far recessed in the body? My order arrived and the Spectra USB model has a button that is so far recessed you have to use your finger nail and rock around the hole until you hit the switch. I have no problems with the standard Nova model which has a switch that's slightly proud of the face plate frame and you can feel with your finger under the plastic casing.

There's a typo in blue description box on overview tab. Nova is not + $4. Should be Max.

I've ordered this twice.. first time shipped to the US, second time to the Philippines. Any chance you guys can get any of the shipping companies to agree to ship these? They're really awesome for what they are!
